Philip von Maltzahn

Cellist, teacher, and chamber musician based in New Orleans.

Taught cello and chamber music at Syracuse University, UNC Greensboro, Appalachian State, and Loyola University New Orleans. Currently teaches cello at Homer Plessy Community School and maintains a private studio for cellists of all ages.

Performed at the Library of Congress, National Gallery of Art, and Aspen Music Festival with the Degas Quartet. Assistant Principal Cello and Soloist with the Greensboro Symphony, 2006-2011. Founding member of the Polymnia Quartet.
